SSHPro Version 2.1

Labtam is pleased to present a new software update for SSHPro now Version 2.1.

We have developed a SSH client for Windows providing maximum security from PC to Host over a Company Lan/Wan/Intranet or Internet. It brings you Typical remote system administration, file transfers, and access to corporate resources over the Internet.

SSH is the industry standard for remote logins. It addresses most of the critical issues which concerns most users while on the internet ; cyber hackers stealing passwords and other important information. SSHPro is a SSH client for the Windows package for Windows.

SSHPro was implemented as an extension DLL. It is a superb terminal emulator/telnet client for Windows. It provides SSH capabilities to SSHPro without sacrificing any of existing functionality. Furthermore, SSHPro has been developed entirely outside of the USA, and can be sold anywhere in the world (apart from places where people aren't allowed to own cryptographic software).

New Features on this release include:

1. Telnet/SSH :
- did not provide the "Local Echo" mode which is required by some SSH-2 servers;
- did not process correctly the banner messages;
- in some cases the cursor jumped up while scrolling.

2. Installation :
- the "Configure" mode operates correctly now.

Telnet/SSH includes the following features :

Compatibility with SSH-1 protocol (version 1.5) and SSH-2
Ciphers/SSH-1: 3DES, Blowfish, DES, RC4
Ciphers/SSH-2: 3DES, Blowfish, cast128, arcfour, aes128, aes192, aes256
Authentication using password
Authentication RSA
Compression support
Connection forwarding, including full support for X-protocol connection forwarding
"Dynamic Forwarding" which provides other tasks on the same PC with requested port forwarding.

3. Manual settings of Telnet/SSH.
- all SSH-settings are located into the "tsshpro.ini" ini-file;
- if you switch on the Authentication RSA mode, you must have corresponding "identity" RSA Authentication data file (produced by ssh-keygen utility).

4. Network layout:
- the "KeepAlive=1" line can be inserted into the "[NETWORK]" section of the configuration file to set the "KeepAlive" TCP/IP mode.

5. Installation :
the "silent" installation process consists of the following two steps. The first step is the creation a silent script file.
To do this, please run the "setup.exe" installation executable file with the two options: "setup -r -f1.\setup.iss". After installation completion the "setup.iss" script file will be created.
The second step is for using this "setup.iss" script file in subsequent "silent" installations. To do this, please put the "setup.iss" file into the distributive directory (where the "setup.exe" file exists) and run the "setup -auto" command line.
After installation (successful or not) you can find the "mkltrace.out" file (near the "setup.iss" and "setup.exe"). This is the ASCII tracing file. Note that the "silent" installation may require interactive actions if installation detects serious problems.

Known problems

1. Uninstallation :

- the uninstallation procedure does not remove components which were installed in additional (non-first) installation sessions. Such additional components should be removed manually.

PLEASE NOTE:
The programs associated in this package may send and/or receive broadcast IP requests. Since such packets cannot cross the nearest firewall/gateway/router, please be sure that these IP requests are invisible from outside your network. We assume that such behavior cannot be considered as "Hacking" or "Trojan horse's action".
